It’s unbelievable that
months can go by since I blogged my last diary entry.
Time seems to pass so quickly, and finding a moment to write these posts is
like gold dust. Having said that, there are certainly no complaints with how my
life is shaping up at the moment. I’m writing this new blog post, this ‘next
chapter’, with some very pleasing news I’d like to share.
In my last post, I alluded
to change being on the horizon and a newfound direction in terms of my future
career. I’m pleased to say that this has happened. Shortly I’ll be starting a
new job at Time Inc UK (formerly IPC Media), I’ll be a CRM (customer
relationship marketing) Executive and I cannot wait. It feels like I’ve waited
a lifetime when in reality it has only been months. I feel so blessed to be in the position I’m
in, where I’ve gained experience and developed skills, which ultimately has led
me to this newfound direction.
I found a brilliant quote
on Twitter this week - “Direction is so much more
important than speed. Many are going nowhere fast.” At times I have been
guilty of impatience and wanting time to speed up, but I’m now learning that
patience pays off. Sometimes we have to go through the motions to achieve
direction. It all takes time.
For me, my time is spent
on working towards my ambitions - the goal post is always moving. I’ve discovered that my relentless
feeling of wanting to get ‘there’ is ever changing; because where I wanted to
get to six months ago, I’m there now. It’s a constant motivator and I cannot
wait to see where this new chapter will take me. The only way is up.
